about
"Still" deals with letting go of toxic relationships with a touch of hopefulness for reconciliation. We've all been there, or will have to go there, at some point in our lives. The hardest part is going back, realizing nothing about the relationship dynamic has changed, and then questioning yourself or doubting your own self worth. I experienced a lot of this in the process of writing for Saeros so its undoubtedly a pretty big (and hopefully relatable) theme throughout our songs.
lyrics
Maybe after all this time has passed
I will know you again
I've been trying to put it all to rest
But I can't
I should have known from the past
You don't hesitate to strike and fill me with your poison
So you don't have to face
Your self, your selfishness
This will be a constant reminder that
All things come to an end
I see now for this to ever work
I will break before you bend
I should have known from the past
You don't hesitate to strike and fill me with your poison
So you don't have to face
Your self, your selfishness
When will I learn?
